The Beach

We were at the Beach last Sat. What a beautiful day. My cousin had her reception down there after her Hawaii wedding. It was fun and the girls love to play in the sand and run from the water. McKenzie loved the birds and wandering off!

This is for you Morgan:

I am thankful for:

1. My two little girls who keep me very entertained and very humble.

2. My husband who works very hard for us and hardly complains. Then still finds time to get home and read to the girls, or tickle them, or bathe them for me!

3. Magazines. It's my connection to the outside world.

4. Makeup, I agree with Morgan, what would we do without concealer!? Or mascara for that matter.

5. My family. We are close and talk everyday, which Shon finds odd, but I am glad we have stuff to talk about everyday. Plus, I love that Morgan and Scott will watch my girls and love them almost as much as me.

6. This next one is crazy, but I am thankful for Thursday night TV. I love the Office and Gray's Anatomy. And for that matter, reruns of Seinfeld. I will go ahead and add Tivo here too.

7. That I was released from my calling in Cub Scouts! Talk about hard work!

8. Anything Chocolate and Peanut Butter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9. That the Holidays are coming and we get to decorate for Christmas soon. And that Trevor is coming home very soon.

10. This is cheesy, but true: The Atonement, without it, I wouldn't be here or where I am today. I love that we can be forgiving and made stronger for our mistakes. I love what our mistakes have given us and made me closer to my husband.

Halloween . . .

So, like the great mother I am, I forgot my camera when we set out for trick or treating! These few photos are of the end of the night when we got home, so the girls weren't very excited about posing for pictures! Hailey was so much fun this year for Halloween. It's the first time she was excited about going door to door and just belted out Trick or Treat! It was fun. She decided to be Ariel from the Little Mermaid. She sings the songs from that movie all the time. She didn't want to wear the shoes that came with the costume though! McKenzie got left overs this year. She wore Hailey's old Bee costume from 2 yrs ago. She didn't care and didn't enjoy dressing up! I figure I will recycle costumes for as long as they will let me!

The Pumpkins

So we carved 3 pumpkins last night. Hailey and McKenzie weren't very interested. Hailey thought the pumpkins smelled really bad, so we were on our own. Shon created a great Darth Vader, and Hailey requested from me a pumpkin with no scary face, so there it is. Hailey was pretty ill last week, but getting over things well. We are crossing our fingers McKenzie doesn't get sick, but it's pretty hard to monitor them not sharing cups etc.!

Potty Woes

So I have decided I hate potty training. We have spent the last two full days in the bathroom and after much laundry and frustration, no luck yet. She hasn't even gone by accident!! Which is amazing considering how much I have given her to drink and how long we sit there!! I brought the portable DVD player in the bathroom and we seriously have been in there all day yesterday and we have begun the same routine today! What is it with stubborn toddlers!!??? I have taken diapers away, for most of the day, let her run around naked for awhile, and nothin! I need help, this girl won't take bribes!

The Pumpkin Patch . . . .

So we took the girls to a great Pumpkin Patch in Temecula among the wineries. It was fun and the girls loved wandering around the place and picking out Pumpkins. It was cold and windy! Hailey insisted on getting herself a pumpkin, her baby sister a pumpkin, and her good ol friend Ernie a pumpkin of his own. Ernie is her best friend and stuffed elephant. He is in the pictures too! Enjoy!

My baseball Star

So we had a family outing to Target this weekend and took Hailey to the Baseball section. We found a mitt her size and she loved putting it on along with the helmet. It was cute. Who needs boys anyway!? I recently took the cub scouts on a field trip, there were 18 boys, ages 8-9. I had 6 of them in my car and that was the longest 20 min. of my life. It was crazy loud and they are pretty gross too. I am re-thinking wanting boys!
