So I had about a 5 month break from potty training Hailey, and is it really time to to it again!??? Hailey had taken down McKenzie's pants, taken her diaper off by herself, and had her sit on the potty after Hailey had gone potty. She then went to get some reading material and read to her sister on the potty for about 10 minutes!!! Perfect. If I play my cards right, I won't have to potty train the next kid!

The Big Surprise
Okay, so apparently my family was planning a big surprise party for my 30th! It was so fun, and a huge surprise! I had no idea. There were a few friends there from a long ago that was really fun to see again! Here are a few pics of the event. Thanks to all involved, was a great day!

I made it
So, I made it to 30! That's right folks, I turned 30 yesterday. I would love to say I had a nice relaxing day followed up by a crazy party, but that isn't the case. It's so funny how birthday's change once you have kids. Hailey was very sweet to me all day and told me Happy Birthday at least 50 times, but McKenzie was her usual demanding self, with lots of yelling. Those of you who know her, knows she is incapable of an inside voice. Any who, we took the girls to my sister in laws where Shon's mom is and had a nice dinner without a diaper bag or having to entertain with books and goldfish. I did get to eat my dinner while it was still hot and took dessert home with me! My whole family joined us! I guess I didn't do too bad afterall! Can't put a price on a child-less dinner!
I am also including a photo of Hailey's new bathing suit. I got it from Old Navy, it was cheap and cute, but she insisted on putting on the minute we got it. She did the modeling herself and I thought it was funny how she knew how to pose!

Happy 2nd Birthday McKenzie!
Okay, so it's not for one more week, but Morgan and I decided to do a joint party for Brent and McKenzie. Worked out pretty good. Watching Brent eat his cake was by far the best part about the day. McKenzie loved opening all her presents and enjoyed some cake too. She and her sister also loved to play in the bouncer! Here are few pics, enjoy!

Work, work, work . . .
So, first of all, I have been searching the world far and wide for one of those deep wave crimpers for Hailey's hair, and finally found one tonight!! I was so excited, I made Hailey sit there for a few min. while I did my experiment! Isn't she adorable!? The other picture is of McKenzie running towards me, she loves me!
So I have decided that I love my job as a stay at home mom. Sure it's work, and if one of the kids wakes up in the middle of the night with a bad dream, I am the only one that gets up because "Shon has to work in the morning" and we wouldn't dream of interrupting his sleep, but won't take for granted my wonderful job again. I have been working at my old office I worked at BK (before kids) . I worked for Allstate Insurance for about 7 years before I had Hailey and I loved it. I fill in there whenever someone goes on vacation and they need some extra help. I have been keeping my insurance license up to date in case I want to go back. I may consider that part time when the girls are in school or something in the future, but working and being a full time mom is rough. I commend you ladies for doing it!!! One of my days off last week, I took the girls to Disneyland mostly because I felt guilty for leaving them and going off to work. That wasn't a day off at all, and Disneyland with two toddlers is WORK! This week on my day off, I scrubbed toilets, sinks, floors and the kitchen. I cleaned Hailey's room 3 times and vacuumed. Not so fun when you have to get up the next day and pack up the girls to go to the sitter and then truck it 35 miles north to the office! I actually loved working and miss it very much, it did get me out of the mundane everyday life I normally lead, but lets just say, I am not ready to give up my day job. I love being a mother, and sure 2 paychecks are always better than one, I rather do without to stay home, and shower when I feel like it! Also a special shout out to my wonderful Sister in law who watched my kids and was the mother when I couldn't be there! I love ya MORGAN!!!
