My Dreams . . .

So I finally get to fulful a dream I have had since I was about 15!! I get to go Skydiving!!! My step dad got me this wonderful gift for Christmas!!! I begged and pleaded for this for my 16th birthday, he said we would talk about it when I was 18. Well that came and went and they still didn't want me to go. I have always wanted to do this and I am soooo excited! I will keep you posted on when I make the jump!!!

My little brother

So my little brother came home from his mission in Japan!!! It's been a short two years, but we were so excited to see him! Hailey is in love! I was worried she wouldn't remember him, but she is attached to him at the hip! It was cute. Here are some pictures from LAX airport and the limo we took up to get him. That way we could all be together bringing him home. The girls were loving the limo by the way!

Another Tree . . .

So this past weekend, we went to help my mom decorate her Christmas tree. It's always huge and she always needs a few grown men to help with lights and to stand it up. It was fun, and becoming a tradition to help her decorate. Hailey loves putting ornaments on the tree, but McKenzie mostly just fed her little cousin puffs.

A story for you . . .

So things started out
okay, I wanted to take
some pics of the girls
by the tree.

Little McKenzie is a bit
more naughty than
her sister was at her age
and she can't seem to keep
her hands off the tree
or the ornaments.

She has been getting
yelled at a lot and still
managed to break 3
ornaments today alone!

Hailey was getting sick
of hearing me tell
McKenzie NO!

She also isn't a fan of
the work NO, yet still
hears it regularly!

So Merry Christmas! I just love this time of year! We broke down and got ourselves a fake tree. I have always had a real tree and I love the smell of the real tree. This way we can put our tree up earlier! The girls had fun when we put our tree up. McKenzie was batting around ornaments like an animal and Hailey kept saying how beautiful everything was! She was a big help. We aren't done. I realized today that I need more ornaments and more clutter on this tree. I just need more hooks and I will add to it. I guess I will just have to visit my mom to soak up that wonderful pine smell!!

Curlies . . .

So Hailey was in one of her Princess moods, and is usually pretty curious about her sister's curlies, so I took advantage! I told her I could give her curlies like her baby sister, and she let me! Some trivia on Hailey: She hates wearing clips, hair ties, or barrettes of any kind. Isn't a fan of getting her hair brushed either, so for this to happen, was great! I took pictures to document in the case this doesn't happen again. She likes her "curlies" though and let me do it two days in a row!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

So we had a great Thanksgiving. It was a small group, but there was plenty of good food. I took some pics of the girls, here are the hi-lights! I also braved the shopping crowds on Friday, that was fun! I was lucky enough to leave the girls home with Shon!

The Beach

We were at the Beach last Sat. What a beautiful day. My cousin had her reception down there after her Hawaii wedding. It was fun and the girls love to play in the sand and run from the water. McKenzie loved the birds and wandering off!

This is for you Morgan:

I am thankful for:

1. My two little girls who keep me very entertained and very humble.

2. My husband who works very hard for us and hardly complains. Then still finds time to get home and read to the girls, or tickle them, or bathe them for me!

3. Magazines. It's my connection to the outside world.

4. Makeup, I agree with Morgan, what would we do without concealer!? Or mascara for that matter.

5. My family. We are close and talk everyday, which Shon finds odd, but I am glad we have stuff to talk about everyday. Plus, I love that Morgan and Scott will watch my girls and love them almost as much as me.

6. This next one is crazy, but I am thankful for Thursday night TV. I love the Office and Gray's Anatomy. And for that matter, reruns of Seinfeld. I will go ahead and add Tivo here too.

7. That I was released from my calling in Cub Scouts! Talk about hard work!

8. Anything Chocolate and Peanut Butter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9. That the Holidays are coming and we get to decorate for Christmas soon. And that Trevor is coming home very soon.

10. This is cheesy, but true: The Atonement, without it, I wouldn't be here or where I am today. I love that we can be forgiving and made stronger for our mistakes. I love what our mistakes have given us and made me closer to my husband.

Halloween . . .

So, like the great mother I am, I forgot my camera when we set out for trick or treating! These few photos are of the end of the night when we got home, so the girls weren't very excited about posing for pictures! Hailey was so much fun this year for Halloween. It's the first time she was excited about going door to door and just belted out Trick or Treat! It was fun. She decided to be Ariel from the Little Mermaid. She sings the songs from that movie all the time. She didn't want to wear the shoes that came with the costume though! McKenzie got left overs this year. She wore Hailey's old Bee costume from 2 yrs ago. She didn't care and didn't enjoy dressing up! I figure I will recycle costumes for as long as they will let me!

The Pumpkins

So we carved 3 pumpkins last night. Hailey and McKenzie weren't very interested. Hailey thought the pumpkins smelled really bad, so we were on our own. Shon created a great Darth Vader, and Hailey requested from me a pumpkin with no scary face, so there it is. Hailey was pretty ill last week, but getting over things well. We are crossing our fingers McKenzie doesn't get sick, but it's pretty hard to monitor them not sharing cups etc.!

Potty Woes

So I have decided I hate potty training. We have spent the last two full days in the bathroom and after much laundry and frustration, no luck yet. She hasn't even gone by accident!! Which is amazing considering how much I have given her to drink and how long we sit there!! I brought the portable DVD player in the bathroom and we seriously have been in there all day yesterday and we have begun the same routine today! What is it with stubborn toddlers!!??? I have taken diapers away, for most of the day, let her run around naked for awhile, and nothin! I need help, this girl won't take bribes!

The Pumpkin Patch . . . .

So we took the girls to a great Pumpkin Patch in Temecula among the wineries. It was fun and the girls loved wandering around the place and picking out Pumpkins. It was cold and windy! Hailey insisted on getting herself a pumpkin, her baby sister a pumpkin, and her good ol friend Ernie a pumpkin of his own. Ernie is her best friend and stuffed elephant. He is in the pictures too! Enjoy!

My baseball Star

So we had a family outing to Target this weekend and took Hailey to the Baseball section. We found a mitt her size and she loved putting it on along with the helmet. It was cute. Who needs boys anyway!? I recently took the cub scouts on a field trip, there were 18 boys, ages 8-9. I had 6 of them in my car and that was the longest 20 min. of my life. It was crazy loud and they are pretty gross too. I am re-thinking wanting boys!

7 Things

Here ya go Morgan:

7 Things:

1. I love magazines, almost any kind. I actually subscribe to the following: Vogue, Instyle, Parents, Rachael Ray, Good Housekeeping, W, and Glamour. That is a lot of magazines lying around here!

2. I don't have any tattoos or anything, but I absolutly love watching that show on TLC, L. A. Ink. Its about a gal who owns her own tattoo shop in LA. And for that matter, I also love Dr. 90210 about plastic surgery.

3. I hate red tomato sauce on any Italian dish including Pizza. I rather have nothing!

4. I love baseball. The Angels to be specific. I can watch them all day on T.V. or I used to listen to them on AM radio even!

5. Most people know this about me, I am only 29 and have been married twice.

6. I am not talented or anything, but I secretly want to be a photographer.

7. I wish I could send my 3 yr old away to potty training camp and she came home and it was all done!! I would pay just about anything.

They love a good book

So this happens just about everyday, that's why they are in two different outfits. They love going through Shon's books and "reading" them. And they have to sit in the bookcase to do it. They usually take most of the books out before they get in, which always leaves a nice huge mess for me to clean up. I am so lucky they play together and make each other laugh now. It was pretty scary at the begining when they weren't so in love with each other.

She is a big girl!

So we broke down and got Hailey a Twin bed. She moves around so much when she sleeps, half the time her legs are hanging off her toddler bed. She loves it and couldn't wait to get it home. I took her to Target yesterday to pick out the sheets for it. She was so cute going back and forth between the Ariel sheets and the Disney Princess sheets. Shon got off work a few hours early, picked it up and set it up for her. She loves it and slept great last night. (yes, she has some food on her face, so what)

Friday, September 21, 2007

Don't ya just love cleaning the kids room 3-5 times a day!?? I swear, I clean Hailey's room quite a few times a day and this what her and her sister do! They empty the book shelves and remove all the toys from the toy box. I come and clean it up, like a good mother, and they do it all over again. What is the deal with that? And why don't they poo on the toilet while we are answering the questions of the universe!!!

U.S.S. Midway

For Labor day, we went down to San Diego and boarded the Midway. Shon has been wanting to go check it out for some time now. We had a lot of fun, despite the heat! The girls were so well behaved including the hour we just sat on a bench while Shon tried out a few different flight simulators. Here are a few pictures from our day.
