The Offspring

So we took our trip to Disneyland on Monday. It was so much fun, but very warm! I, of course, forgot my camera in the car, so we bought a disposable one at the park, which was pricey! I will get those developed later, but I snapped this picture with my phone on the Tea Cups. The girls loved it! This is the 3rd time we have been there this year, and they get more and more fun each time we go. They are starting to love the rides more and more. Hailey loves to stand in line and meet the princesses and McKenzie loves them from a far. Their favorite ride was Dumbo and the Tea Cups!

Vacation Time . . .

We started out at the Aquarium of the Pacific, it was fun and such a nice day. McKenzie loved the sharks, you could get so close to them! Hailey couldn't wait to see the Nemo fish, which we saw plenty of! Today we soaked up the sun at the beach. I don't know why we don't go more often, it's less than an hour away. McKenzie hated sand for the first 30 minutes or so, but then fell in love and started to play and throw it all over the place. Hailey enjoyed building a sand castle with her dad. We ate most of the time. I love the beach!

Call me Dr. Petersen DDS

So for the last 10 - 15 years, I have been doing my own dental work. That's right, there is no trick to it, I fill my own teeth. The last time I went to a Dentist, probably in 1997 or so, I went to the Dental School in Loma Linda University, they gave me a temporary filling, that I have been filling myself with the stuff you buy at Target. It only lasts a few months, then you have to fill it again. Any who, I chipped a wisdom tooth last week, and it was very sharp and cutting up my cheeks inside my mouth, so I threw some temp. filling on it to soften the edges. It worked pretty good, but last night I was up all night with a tooth ache. So with no Dental insurance, I went in today and had them pull it! Of course they want to pull the rest and fill a cavity, and do root canal on a different tooth. Its like taking your car in for an oil change and having them call you to tell you all the things wrong with your car and they recommendations you should have done. I told them, nope, just pull the wisdom tooth for now, I'll be back. (in another 10 yrs!) : )

So 2 shots, and about 5 minutes, it was out and done! I lived to tell the story. I did all this while my children napped at home with Aunt Morgan! Thanks Mic! As if she didn't have enough on her plate right now!
Just thought I would add a pic of the girls, McKenzie's crazy hair cracks me up!

Hair cut

So, as most of you know, I never get out of the house. We very rarely get a babysitter, to see a movie every couple of months or grab dinner alone, so for my semi annual hair cut, I get excited! I love going to the salon and getting my hair washed, head massaged, and the wonderful products they use! I love to have my hair styled and I don't have to blow dry for one day! Any who, I didn't do anything crazy, cut about 3 inches off, and had my long bangs trimmed a bit shorter, it's more the ritual I am in love with! Here are some pics. The one I finally had to pin my bangs back, they will take some getting used to.

Sisters . . .

The girls loving each other for a rare moment.

Where does she come up with this stuff?

Okay, so today Hailey brought me my camera and told me to take pictures of her being a "fashion model". Can you believe that. This was the result. The only place I can think of where she got this is from the Holly Hobbie movies. They talk about being french fashion models in there. Crazy huh? Any who, I thought it was funny.

My Girls

So, I was just sitting here this morning thinkin how fast these kids are growing!! I got Hailey dressed this morning and looked at her, like when did you start looking like a little girl??? She will start Pre-school in about 1 month, provided I can get her in one! It's just so crazy how it seems like yesterday I was holding her feeding her a bottle and now she is going to start school a few times a week! Any who, I think most of this thought is from my cute little neice that is just over 7 lbs. It goes by in a blink! McKenzie is growing fast too, she counts to about 14, and knows lots of colors. She put her own shoes on this morning! Here are a few pics.
